Route : Mai Chau – Moc Chau – Son La – Tu Le – Mu Cang Chai – Binh Lu – SaPa
With 7 days tour to the North West Vietnam where you have opportunity to visit beautiful scenery and to experience the rich ethnic culture. The North West Vietnam is still relatively untouched by the outside world. With possibly some of the most beautiful scenery in Vietnam tours, those who visit see this region will be greatly rewarded.Travel along roads snaking through high passes, journey through fertile valleys, see incredible rice terraces and visit colorful ethnic-minority markets.
Pick up at your hotel and leave at 8:00 this morning. The road from Hanoi to Hoa Binh o¬n highway 6 has been upgraded. The pretty landscape is dotted with churches, pagodas and villages. You will stop to visit the Muong tribe en-route, then another break at Thung Khe Pass for the spectacular view of Mai Chau valley.
Have lunch in Mai Chau. Spend the afternoon for trekking away from the tourist track, close to Song Ma River. Here, you will discover the beauty of this valley and the culture of Thai people who is living in this area.
Night in Mai Chau
Have breakfast at the Resort before embark o¬n a beautiful drive north to Son La. This good stretch of road is filled with stunning scenery; you will make frequent photo stops and visit to the minority villages of the H'mong and Black Thai.
Lunch is served at a local restaurant en-route. The highlight o¬n your drive today will be a visit of a tea plantation in Moc Chau plateau. Here, you will find the best Vietnam tea growing region, along the roads and o¬n the hillsides. You will reach Son La in the afternoon. Dinner and stay overnight in Son La.
Leave Son La for the itinerary, trek and visit some villages of ethnic's minorities along the road: black Dzao, H'mong, white Thai, etc. They are very kind, honest and plain. Arrive at Tu Le village, dinner and overnight in house on stilt of inhabitants here. You can discover the daily life activities of this village in particular and the Thai ethnic in general in Vietnam. Overnight at Hotel.
Take leave of inhabitants of Tu Le, it takes 2 Km to village center, you can visit lots of activity on the early market day and it is typical colorful ethnics of this high mountain regions. Transfer to the the footing of Kau Pha pass for us to start trekking about 9 Km through the forest and ethnic villages. This trail runs parallel with the famous and beautiful Kau Pha pass. We finish the trail at the peak of the pass (1800m above sea level). Transfer to Mu Cang Chai for lunch. Visit the local market and go on to Binh Lu , On the way, stop to visit Than Uyen , check in Hotel and night in Binh Lu.
After breakfast, On Sunday, You have chance to visit the amazing tribal markets in Binh Lu where thousand of Thai Kadai language groups such as White Thai, and H’mong – Dzao group (black Dzao, Dzao Lantien..), Giay, KhơMú.. comes to buy and sell their own produces.
Then Transfer to Sapa, on the way, we can take trek to visit lots of beautiful villages of ethnic. Especially, you can meet the most typical ethics as: Dzao , Xa Pho... They wear the long traditional and colorful costumes with jeweler hand made. Moreover, you can discover the kind face in black dyed teeth of ethnics here. passing the 1900 meter Tram Ton pass, Viet Nam’s highest mountain pass and considered the most beautiful stretch of road in the country.
Arrive at Sa Pa. Check in and rest of the day at leisure .Night in Sapa:
Breakfast at hotel, Then a short drive to trekking point, you start a trekking to visit some minority villages. Lao Chai - TaVan - GiangTaChai. You will meet some different minority people H’mong, Zay, Red Dzao, you can see the different colorful dresses. Finish our trekking at Giang Ta Chai village, we get on a transport to headback to Sapa. Free at the leisure. Overnight in Sapa.
After breakfast at Hotel , free and easy :You can visit and go shopping, market for buying souvenirs such as handicraft made by ethics, ethics' traditional costumes, etc before ending the days in North West Vietnam.
Optional tour : Fansipan by cable cabin: Extra cost : 39 USD per person.
8.00: After breakfast in hotel, driver & tour guide take you to Cable Car Station and spend 20 minutes with cable car to enjoy the spectacular scenery.
9.00: Reach the altitute of 2800 meters, you have a good time to see the view and take photos, visit pagoda the spiritual destinations and trek up to 600 steps you will reach the peak of Fansipan - the Roof of Indochina. ( Spend about 1,5 hours for hiking and taking photos).
11.00: Come back to Cable Car Station and return to Sapa town,
Pm: After lunch transfer back Hanoi. End trip.
