A trip to Mekong Delta to immerse yourself in the natural beauty and the rich culture of the vibrant southern Delta region. Boating down the river to experience the local life, fishing floating house, enjoy the local folk song music and seasonal fresh fruit; explore the local floating market at its nicest time and most exciting of the day.
7h30 am: Our tour guide will pick you up at your hotel. You leave Saigon to Mekong Delta, especially you visit Cai be-Tien Giang provinces. It takes you about 3 hours going there. For people living in Mekong, their lives are attached to rivers, water. Almost activities could be organized on river as living, working, market gathering. On the way you can see the green paddy rice fields stretching forwards the horizon. Upon arrival in Caibe town, you’ll be on board for an exploration of lush vegetation of Mekong Delta and remaining site of a very renowned wholesale floating market on Tien River many years ago. Next, a crowing boat rides on the maze of shady canals to arrive at a local orchard to enjoy the local tropical fruits and visit the daily activities, the handicraft villages of local people as making coconut candy and rice paper with pop-rice and pop-corn, rice-wine. You enjoy the traditional folk music, called “Cai Luong”. Break your time for lunch at Ba Kiet, old house built since 1838 inside the garden. From here, you can walk around the garden or take a cycling trip along the village path through orchards. Meanwhile, have some short stops to meet local people who help you understand more about the daily life in the Mekong Delta. Pick up and transfer to CHau doc. Check in Hotel and night in Chau doc.
After breakfast, you start your trip visiting Chua Xu temple. Vietnamese people consider Chua Xu Lady look like Goddess of Mercy, she plays an important role in our society. The statue its self is possibly a relic of the culture, dating from the 16th century.Back to Chau Doc Town, you take the boat to visit the floating Houses where the fish is raised in the suspended metal Nets. The fish flourish in their natural river habitat. You continue to visit Cham village, Cham means Muslim people. With the traditional loom, Muslims people can weave the tissues and towels. The last visit, you discover the Mubarak Mosque.
Depart to Hatien around 100Km, nearly Cambodia border. Arrival in Hatien, You have lunch
Hatien is one of the most beautiful landcape and known as Halong bay in Mekong delta.
First visit is Mac Cuu Mausoleum, he is first person who discovered Ha Tien area, He was also a contributor to explore Mekong delta, All his members in his family were buried here. Phu Dung Pagoda is a second site for you to visit, This pagoda was built in the mid-18th century . The next attraction is Thach dong ( Called stone cave or cloud cave) , It is the most beautiful natural airchitecture with a hight of 90 m, this cave is considered as cloud swallowing cave .
To enjoy the sea atmosphere in the west, you will visit Mui Nai, you can swim and relax or enjoy the seafood ( pay on yourself ). Night in Hatien.
Breakfast at Hotel, about 20 Km from Hatien, you will visit Hang pagoda ( grotto pagoda). This cave was discovered in the 18th century , after that this pagoda was also built here. Next to grotto pagoda, you take a far vision to see Hon Phu Tu ( father and son rocks), talking about the father’s love story
then Leave for Can Tho.Stop to visit paddy-field, tranquil village… Night in Can tho.
Early morning, tour guide meets you at your hotel. You are transferred by boat to visit the Cai Rang floating market (about 50 minutes from your hotel) where you can see the products hung on the bole of the boat. The local people just only sell and buy the tropical fruits with cheap price. Next, you visit factory where people make rice noodles. Say goodbye Can Tho city. Drive back to sai Gon. Drop you off at your hotel in Sai Gon. End of services.
