Overview

Route : Hanoi – Mai Chau- Ninh Binh – Ha Longbay – Hue -Hoi An – HoChiMinh City – Mekong Delta or vice versa

This is the comprehensive alternative to our previous trip and shows you Vietnam in close-up. It’s not just a change of direction , this trip packs another adventurous days into the itinerary. We’ll explore Hanoi, the Thai and Muong hilltribes of Maichau, visit Halong Bay before making our way south via Hue, Hoian to Ho Chi Minh City.

DAY 1 : ARRIVE HANOI ( D )

Arrive at Hanoi airport. Meet the tour guide at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Dinner and night in Hanoi.

DAY 2: HANOI CITY TOUR (B, L )

8h00 am : Your tour starts with a visit to the Museum of Ethnology, where you can find an excellent full collection of 54 ethnic groups living in Vietnam and wonderful implications of artifacts and patterns from their traditional handicrafts and clothes. The next stop is Temple of Literature, Vietnam's first college –QuocTu Giam. Lunch.
Pm: You will visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum ( Outside), Ho Chi Minh House-on-stilts and One-Pillar Pagoda, Continue the trip to picturesque West Lake to visit Tran Quoc Pagoda, the oldest pagoda in Hanoi built from 6th Century. then Take a cyclo tour ( 1 hour) around Sword Lake and the Old quarter.
In the evening, enjoy water puppet show. Overnight at hotel in Hanoi.

DAY 3: HANOI – MAI CHAU ( B, L, )

Pick up at your hotel and leave at 8:00 this morning. The road from Hanoi to Hoa Binh o¬n highway 6 has been upgraded. The pretty landscape is dotted with churches, pagodas and villages. You will stop to visit the Muong tribe en-route, then another break at Thung Khe Pass for the spectacular view of Mai Chau valley.
Have lunch in Mai Chau. Spend the afternoon for trekking away from the tourist track, close to Song Ma River. Here, you will discover the beauty of this valley and the culture of Thai people who is living in this area.
Night in Mai Chau

DAY 4: MAI CHAU – NINH BINH ( B, L, )

8h30 AM: After breakfast, Take a boat trip on Da River as the biggest lake of Vietnam.
9h00 AM: take a short brake to visit a floating houses and experience fisher man daily life there.
10h00 AM : we head to Ngoi Hoa Bay then takes around 15 minutes to climb up to Fairy Pond, it’s beautiful and pristine, you will love it at first sight. . The water here is blue like jade.
11h30 PM: Back to Mai Chau hideaway resort, Have lunch then transfer to Ninh Binh through verdant
landscape. Stop over for a rest on the way. Night in Ninh Binh.

DAY 5: NINH BINH – HANOI ( B, L)

Breakfast at Hotel then transfer to visit Mua Cave .
Arrive at Mua Cave and start an amazing trek up to the top of Ngoa Long mountain for watching the spectacular rice valley with precious view of the nature.
The next stop is Tam Coc, You will Take sampan boat trip which owned and rowed by locals, gently sailing along Ngo Dong river, capturing the wonderful scenery of Karst hills, rice fields, and peaceful villages, and passing “Hang Ca”, “Hang Hai” and “Hang Ba”. Have lunch at restaurant.
After lunch, transfer back Hanoi. Stop to Visit Hoa Lu Ancient Citadel with King Dinh Temple dating back to the 17th Century.
Night in Hanoi.

DAY 6: HANOI – HALONG ( B, L, D)

Breakfast at your hotel.
8:30: Our transport and guide will pick you up from your hotel in Hanoi and start our trip to explore the most amazing bay in the North of Vietnam. On the way, we will have a quick stop at the middle of the way to rest.
12.30: Arrive in our office at Hon Gai Pier, you will have a bit time to relax and enjoy a cup of tea/coffee. Wait for our captain to finish the registration and transfer by tender to our boat.
12.45: Enjoy welcome drink and spend a couple minutes to briefing about safety on boat and activities included then we check in our cabin.
13.30: Delicious Vietnamese set menu will be served while leisurely cruising further into Bai Tu Long Bay.
15.00: Arrive in kayaking area – that is Cap La Island. Enjoy kayaking through the karst and breathtaking nature, swimming and relaxing.
17.30: Get back to the boat and enjoys our Sunset party while our cruise sailing to the overnight anchorage.
19.00: Sumptuous set-dinner on board.
20.30: Free time to challenge yourself in Vietnamese puzzle games, or gathers your group/family for a board game; try your luck with squid fishing or simply has a cocktail and enjoy the quiet night on the bay.

DAY 7: HALONG – HANOI – ( BRUNCH ) Flight To Hue.

06.00: Start your day with a Tai Chi routine on sundeck or catch a morning view of the stunning bay’s landscape with a cup of tea or coffee.
07.00: Breakfast will be served in Western style, familiar to you to fulfill your strength and ready for another exploring day.
08.00: Explore the well hidden Thien Canh Son Cave.
09.00: Upon return to the boat you will have about 30 minutes to freshen up and finish packing.
10.00: Attend in a Vietnamese cooking demonstration. You can quickly learn a simple but delicious Vietnamese dish that Gordon Ramsey (a 2 Michelin Star Chef) used to guide – Nem Cuon or challenge yourself in fruit and vegetables carving.
11.00: Enjoy a traditional Vietnamese lunch on boat.
12.00: Back to the harbor and disembark in Hon Gai pier.
12.30: transport and guide will take you back to Hanoi for flight to Hue.
Pick up at Phu Bai airport of Hue by private car. Transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Hue.

DAY 8: HUE TOUR (B, L )

Breakfast at Hotel then Pick up and transfer for city tour
Boat trip on Perfume River to visit handicraft village: making conical hat and bronze casting. Visit Thien Mu Pagoda considered as Royal Pagoda of the Nguyen Dynasty and Minh Mang Tomb. Lunch.
PM: Visit Mausoleums of Khai Dinh King and Imperal Citadel. Visit Dong Ba market.. Night at hotel.

DAY 9: HUE – HOIAN (B, L)

Breakfast at your hotel.
Early departure towards Hoi An - a world heritage recognized by Unesco in 1999. Stop on the way to Lang Co beach and the Cloud Pass to take photos. Visit the Cham museum. Arrival in Hoi An. Transfer to your hotel in Hoi An. Lunch.
Pm: Visit the Hoian district - an old trade center: Japanese bridge, Tan Ky old house, PhucKien meeting hall, Hoi An museum. Discover the daily life of the local inhabitants on both banks. Overnight in Hoi An.

DAY 10: HOIAN COOKING CLASS (B, L )

Start 8:00 am: A local tour guide will meet you at your hotel, check your bike and as a group begin the cycle through the local marketto buy some spices and vegetables for the cooking class. Continue cycling for an hour through rice fields and peaceful villages that display the areca gardens. After this, you arrive in Tra Que vegetable villagewhere you will take a pleasant walk through the garden and learn the different types of culinary herbs and vegetables which will be used in the cooking class. Meet your chef at the restaurant and learn the recipes; how to prepare and cook Banh Xeo– a Vietnamese pancake, famous Vietnamese spring rolls, and Tam Huu salad.You will be able to enjoy your lunch with the food you make and have time to relax before beginning your cycle back to the hotel, where the tour ends..
8.00-8.45: Cycle to Tiger Temple market (approximately 2km), buy some spices and vegetables for the cooking class
8.45-9.45: Cycle through rice field and peaceful villages that display the areca gardens to Tra Que village (approximately 5km)
9.45-10.15: Take a pleasant walk through the gardenand learn the different types of culinary herbs and vegetables.
10.15-11.45: Meet your chef, learn the recipes; and cook Banh Xeo – a Vietnamese pancake, famous Vietnamese spring rolls, and Tam Huu salad.
12.00-13.30: Lunch with the food you made and have time to relax.
13.30-14.15: Cycle back to the hotel. Free and easy. Night in Hoian.

DAY 11 : HOIAN - DANANG - SAIGON -CU CHI TUNNEL TOUR (B, L ) Flight

Breakfast. Transfer to airport for the morning flight to Saigon.
Arrival in Saigon.Pick up and Drive to visit Cuchi Underground Tunnel - a battle field in Vietnam War closely to Saigon City. Back Saigon . Night at Hote

DAY 12 : SAIGON CITY TOUR (B, L, Dinner Cruise ).

As you know, Saigon-Hochiminh city is famous, called “Little Paris” during the French Colonial, an“The pear of the Far-East” during US war.
Our tour guide pick you up at your hotel at 08:30am.
Your visits:

Notre dame Catheral, built between 1877 and 1883 by French, most of the materials were transferred from Marseille (France). Next to the Church, you walk to visit the Central Post Office, built 1886 and ended 1891 by Gustave Eiffel. Your next destination is Reunification Palace which was built in 1868, named Norodom Palace and inaugurated in 1873. In 1963, this palace was heavily destroyed by bombs. On 30 April 1975, the tanks of the liberation army entered Independence Palace. After the liberation, Independence Palace became the headquarters of the City’s military Administration Committee. You have lunch in nice restaurant.
Afternoon, We’ll take you through the Chinese district of Saigon, stop to see a sweet smelling flower market, & visit Thien Hau temple (called Godess of Mercy, in English). It is believed that Thien Hau Lady can travel over the oceans on a mat and ride the clouds to save people in the trouble on the high seas
Then you can discover the activities war during US war by visiting. The War Museum in which is an interesting collection of American Weapons.
Stop at Ben Thanh market, the goods in here are abundant, including almost all-domestic products, especially those products from the South of Vietnam and modern industrial products from other nations.
Evening, have dinner cruise on Saigon river : 19h00 -21h30 pm.

DAY 13 : SAIGON – MEKONG DELTA ( CAIBE ) - SAIGON (B, L )

7:30AM, Pick up and begin the trip to Cai Be by car/van. You will move through Trung Luong Expressway to the destination.
Upon arrival in Cai Be, have a boat ride to remaining site of a very renowned wholesale floating market on Tien River many years ago. This site entitles you to know something about the local trading habit that has changed due to the age of the modern society when more terrestrial transportation and high-technique of agriculture have dominated everywhere. There, you can realize how diverse the area is and how rich orchard gardens are, which makes it the basket of fruit in the lower part of the Mekong River.
Ramble in small villages where you will uncover the beauty of Ba Kiet ancient house and get to know about the indigenous culture. Make a short visit to a small family business where the locals are making coconut fudges and crispy rice popcorn. Savor delicious fresh fruit and feel slow rhythms of Southern Vietnamese folk music – a kind of music entwined with the life and culture of the Mekong Delta people.
Paddle through small canals – an exciting experience since you can look around, unwind and soak up the wonderful atmosphere of the Upper Mekong Delta. Additionally, after arrival in Tan Phong Island, let yourself immerse in the tranquility of nature.
At the lunchtime, you not only enjoy luscious food, but also get closer to the locals as it is a chance to learn how to prepare Vietnamese specialties. The meal is cooked by your own and served in the heart of the local garden.
Take a cycling trip along the village path through orchards. Meanwhile, have some short stops to visit local families who help you understand more about the daily life in the Mekong Delta.
Get back to the dock by sampan and then take the bus back to Ho Chi Minh City. Night at Hotel.

DAY 14 : SAIGON DEPURTURE (B )

Breakfast at hotel. Free time for shopping. Transfert to the airport for the departure flight to your home.
