Explore the ancient capital of Bagan, experience a journey in Kalaw by local train to appreciate the green scenery of Shan State together with local people and cross Inle Lake to meet with the local Inthar tribes’.  Covering the iconic sites and hidden villages, get to know all about Burmese history, culture, traditions and the people’s warm and friendly nature.

Day (01) Arrive Yangon

Arrive Yangon. Our experienced guide will meet and welcome you at the Airport. Transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day (02) Yangon-Bagan by Flight (B)

Start time: 7:00 AM – End time: 6:00 PM/ Flying hours: 1 hour 20 Minutes (estimate)
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to airport. Flight to Bagan. Arrive Bagan. We will visit one of the top temples, Shwezigon Pagoda, one of Myanmar’s holiest sites. The gilded stupa-shaped pagoda became the prototype of the ‘typical’ Myanmar stupa. Observe Bagan Lacquerware work shop to learn 18 to 21 steps of tradition method. Then, explore to Min Nan Thu Bagan Cultural Village where the villagers are open & friendly & an agricultural village which specializes in the production of sesame and peanut oil. Then, visit to Ananda Temple that is considered to be one of the most surviving masterpieces of the Mon architecture and also known as the finest, largest, best preserved and most revered of the Bagan temples. Horse cart or ox cart (limited number of ox cart) ride (45 Minutes) around the temples, amazing sunset at one of the famous monuments or hills where is perfect to watch sunset over of 3000 temples of wonderful Bagan.

Day (03) Bagan-Heho-Kalaw By flight (B)

Start time: 7:00 AM – End time: 3:00 PM/ Flying hours: 45 Minutes (estimate)
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to airport. Flight to Heho. Arrive Heho Airport & drive to Aung Ban Railway Station (Train schedule is always changing. So, railway station may be changeable). Myanmar has the longest rail network in Southeast Asia and the train is a fascinating way to travel in Shan State because the gentle pace allows time to really appreciate the scenery. The train gives you an interesting insight into the lives of local people in the Shan hills. After 30 minutes ride, arrive Kalaw – an old hill station in Shan State founded by British civil servants escaping the heat of the country’s plains. Start with a visit to Hnee Pagoda in the south west of the town, a 500 year old pagoda home to a bamboo Buddha statue. Then, proceed to Thein Taung Pagoda and Monastery which offers great views of Kalaw and the surrounding hills. The monastery at the top of the hill is very peaceful and a beautiful place to relax, or interact with friendly monks. Then, transfer to the hotel. Free & relax with beautiful scenery.

Day (04) Kalaw-Inle-Indein (B)

Start time: 8:00 AM – End time: 5:00 PM
Breakfast at hotel. Today, drive to Nyaung Shwe, the gateway village to majestic Inle Lake (nestled amidst hazy blue mountains is the beautiful Inle Lake 900 meter above sea level) where you can study Inthar tribes’ and their ways of life. Boat trip to witness the iconic scenery of Inle Lake including: Shwe Indein Pagoda complex, one of the small villages of Inle Lake located on the western bank of the Lake & The pagoda and hundreds of stupa built in the 8th century and rows of shops are famous, then, PhaungDawOo Pagoda (Holly 5 Buddha Images). After that, proceed to Inphawkhone to visit Silk Weaving, and you can learn how to make cigar in different flavor together with local girls, Padaung Family House (Long neck tribe), small cannel to the Floating Gardens & Plantation. Locals grow vegetables and fruit in large gardens that float on the surface of the lake. The floating garden beds are formed by extensive manual labor.Overnight at hotel.

Day (05) Inle Cooking Class (B, L)

Start time: 8:00 AM – End time: 2:00 PM
Breakfast at hotel. Heading to an Inthar home, stepping into another scene of local life. Join the hosts in the kitchen for an interactive cooking class. Learn how to cook Inthar favourites like fish steamed in banana leaf, tomato salad, stuffed potato rice balls and more. Then sit down to enjoy the tasty meal and soak-up the experience of dining in a family house. Say farewell to the host family.After having your self-cooking lunch, transfer to your hotel. Free & relax at hotel swimming pool.

Stepping into a small but sturdy canoe boat. Enjoy the scenery. It is also a lot of fun to try paddling for a while. Wind through the maze of canals and waterways that form the ‘streets’ of the village. Get up close to the famous stilted houses of Inle. Although the use of motorized boats on Inle Lake is ever-increasing, many people still use their non-motorized wooden canoes to get around and this provides a unique opportunity to step back into this traditional way of life on the lake.

Day (06) Inle-Heho-Yangon by flight (B)

Start time: 7:00 AM – End time: 6:00 PM/ Flying hours: 1 hour 20 Minutes (estimate)
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to airport. Flight back to Yangon. Arrive Yangon. We will bring you downtown area; City Hall, Independent Monument at the MaharBandula Park near Sule Pagoda, the Court Office and the Customs House, located along the Strand Road where most colonial buildings stand today as colonial heritage sites. Then, enjoy visiting at Bogyoke Market, formerly known as Scott’s Market; where there is time to browse through dozens of stalls and shops. This is Yangon’s best market for handicrafts and other goods, so be sure to pick up some souvenirs (Note: Market is closed on Mondays and public holidays).
Visit world famous dazzling Shwedagon Pagoda. It is the most revered Buddhist temple in Myanmar. Although the origins of the pagoda are unclear, the local legend states that the original structure was built 2500 years ago then renovated several times until taking its current shape in the 15th century. The 8-sided central stupa is 99 meters tall and gilded with gold leaf and is surrounded by 64 smaller stupas. Your guide will show you around the massive complex, explaining why this temple is so revered. Enjoy breathtaking views of the golden stupa from this vantage point.
